If you love working out and think it would fulfilling to inspire and motivate others to reach their fitness goals you might make a good group fitness instructor. While there are dozens of reasons, here are three that stand out:

  1. Making a positive impact on people's lives. As a group fitness instructor, you have the power to inspire and motivate others to lead healthier and happier lives. It's an incredibly rewarding experience to see your attendees' progress and know that you played a part in helping them get there.

What is Dirtylicious!?

What is all the hype around Dirtylicious!?

It's a fun workout that combines dance moves with cardiovascular exercise. It's a high-energy, full-body workout that is not only fun but also incredibly effective at burning calories and toning muscles. Here are four things that may surprise you:

1. One of the biggest benefits of dance fitness is that it doesn't feel like exercise. When you're dancing, you're so focused on the movements and the music that you forget you're actually working out. It's a great way to get your heart rate up without feeling like you're doing a chore.

2. Another benefit of Dirtylicious On Demand is that it can be done anywhere, anytime. You don't need any equipment or a gym membership. All you need is some space and Wi-Fi. You can dance in your living room, in a park, or even at your grandma's house.

3. Dance is also great for mental health. It's been proven that dancing can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. When you're dancing, you're...

Mean Girls Dance Party - Sponsored by DDF®

The #MeanGirlsDanceParty was SO FETCH!

The Mean Girls dance party last Saturday night was so much fun! We could not get enough of all of the Mean Girls quotes, details, and costumes from every single person who attended. We were OBSESSED with the levels of creativity and commitment we saw!

The evening started with mingling, hanging out with the sponsors, eating carbs (As Regina asked, "Is butter a carb?" ), a Dirtylicious® dance class lead by one of our instructors Tayler Nicholas (you can take more classes with her on Dirtylicious® On Demand), and a talent show where we saw "the plastics" (but with a black and white Dirtylicious® spin on their costumes) perform "Jingle Bell Rock."

Dirtylicious® did a raffle where we gave each attendee a free lifetime membership to the Dirtylicious® On Demand product [a $150 per year value] and a ticket to enter to win $100 cash!

We hope everybody who came to the Mean Girls dance party had the best night dancing...

Best Face Masks for Dance, Exercise, and Everyday

Whether you are purchasing a mask to dance, exercise, or even simply walk around the grocery store in, you want a mask that is going to keep you safe and comfortable, but also be flexible and allow you to move without falling off.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I grabbed the easiest mask I could find from my favorite store, Target (girl, you know it's your fave too). After wearing the mask a few times, I quickly realized that even though I bought the mask out of convenience it wasn't the best mask for being active in or even to wear day to day.

After testing out several different masks, I have put together a list of my 3 favorite masks. I want you to know that I was not compensated in any way for these reviews and have bought all of these full price.

1. Bloch Reusable Face Mask with Lanyard and Moldable Nose Pad Pack of 3/$19.80

I grew up training in ballet and was a regular customer of Bloch. Bloch has been around since...

20 Songs To "Dance It Out" To

When life sucks or is hard...kinda like how it is right now. Actually not kinda how it is...  it is EXACTLY how it is right now, I like to dance it out. I have been a Grey's Anatomy fan and watched every single episode and if I have learned one thing from Meredith Grey it is that when I feel stressed or have a problem, I just have to dance it out. Then I feel MUCH better!

Wanna try mine and the great Meredith Grey's method out? Need a good song to dance it out to? I have the perfect playlist for you that I guarantee will get you moving. Actually, let's make this a challenge. Go through and play each of these songs and try not to dance. I bet you that you can't not dance when listening to them. Let us know how you do by posting about it in our Dirtylicious Facebook Group or sharing on your social media and tagging us @DirtyliciousDanceFitness

4 Ways to Become a Better Dancer

Want to be a better dancer? You may be thinking that the title "good dancer" is only reserved for those who've been dancing since before they could talk, but science has a few hints about what can make someone —anyone who's willing to implement these steps— a great dancer. Yes, even someone with ZERO dance experience before they attended a Dirtylicious class.

 1. Consistency

Becoming a better dancer requires muscle memory, and muscle memory requires a lot of repetition through practice. Even if you'd never taken a dance class before attending Dirtylicious®, you can become better!

So don’t overthink it – set a goal to come regularly, then make some room in your schedule to attend a class the same days and times each week. Literally schedule it into your phone's calendar with a notification! Take it a step further by dancing in your front room or getting in front of your mirror and practicing the combo...

Dirtylicious® University - Cycle 3

And just like that, Dirtylicious® University cycle three is in the books!

Dirtylicious® has been steadily growing and we were lucky enough to have our first training day held at one of Utah's largest gyms: the VASA Fitness in Orem. This came as a result of the success of Erica (one of the Dirtylicious Co-Founder) and our current instructors whose classes have been rapidly growing week after week.

This was by far our most diverse group of instructors with some attendees having lots of group fitness experience and others having none at all. Dirtylicious® is a beautiful thing that way, it's not about being the best dancer and is instead all about instilling confidence into your class with real dance and sexy choreography. And being willing to get better slowly over time is the secret ingredient to becoming a better dancer.

We couldn't be more proud of this group right here and can't wait to see each of them grow a...

Three Reasons You Should Become a Dirtylicious® Instructor

Have you thought about becoming a Dirtylicious® Dance Fitness instructor but can't shake the feeling that you're "not _________________ enough" (you fill in that blank)? Here are three reasons why you should flick that little doubt-whispering devil off your shoulders and start teaching your own Dirtylicious® class (AKA change the world with twerking).

1. Progress NOT Perfection

Being a Dirtylicious® Dance Fitness instructor isn't about being the best dancer and never messing up the choreography (that is WAY too much unnecessary pressure). Instructing a Dirtylicious® class is about being willing to find joy teaching others despite the chance that you may end up forgetting the counts or messing up yourself.

At our Dirtylicious® University instructor training day we preach: Progress NOT Perfection.

We want each instructor to feel the same way that we want our Dirtylicious® attendees to feel which is to feel empowered after...
